Visiting Us

 

We welcome local schools, universities, community groups and others to visit Samudra Kadampa Buddhist centre for guided meditations, talks and activities. We have a beautiful meditation room with Buddhist statues and art, and can give insights to a Buddhist way of life, and help to cover the key stages of the religious education syllabus. Whilst visiting, you may also choose to enjoy the nearby parks and sites of historic Buxton

A typical visit would last about 1hour, beginning with a brief introduction and tour to get a feel for life in a Buddhist community, followed by a talk and simple breathing meditation in the inspiring and calming environment of our meditation room.

We can include a question and answer session to explain some of the symbolism or anything else you would like to cover. We like to make visits as interactive as possible.

• Pre school, Primary and secondary school – £2.50

• Secondary schools, Universities and Adult Groups – £3:50

*Note – For school & university visits there is no charge for your teachers and assistant

Visiting You

If you prefer us to visit your premises to give talks or guided meditations, we are also happy to consider this depending on the distance involved. There will be a charge of £20 plus travel expenses
