Group Visits to Samudra Centre
We warmly welcome local schools, universities, community groups, and interested organizations to visit Samudra Kadampa Buddhist Centre. Our beautiful meditation room features traditional Buddhist statues and artwork, offering a unique cultural and educational experience.
Whether you are looking for a relaxing group activity, an introduction to a Buddhist way of life, or a hands-on experience to cover key stages of the Religious Education (RE) syllabus, we customize each visit to suit your group.
While you are here, your group can also enjoy the nearby parks and historic sites of Buxton!




What to Expect During Your Visit

A typical visit lasts approximately 1 hour and is designed to be as interactive as possible:

Welcome & Tour: A brief introduction to the Centre and an overview of life in a modern Buddhist community.

Talk & Guided Meditation: A simple, refreshing breathing meditation and short talk tailored to your group in our calming meditation room.

Q&A & Symbolism: An open session to ask questions, explore the shrine, and learn about the meaning behind the artwork and statues.
Group Visit Charges (Per Person)

Pre-school & Primary Schools: £2.50

Secondary Schools, Universities & Adult Groups: £3.50
Teacher & Assistant Pass: Accompanying teachers, assistants, and group leaders attend free of charge for all school and university visits.
Visiting You
If you prefer us to visit your school, university, or community venue to deliver talks or guided meditations, we are happy to consider traveling to you depending on the distance.
Outreach Fee: £20 plus travel expenses
